Department of Economics University of California, Santa Barbara My broad research agenda focuses on measuring the benefits and costs associated with policies that improve environmental quality. My recent research is focused on estimating the impacts of climate change on human health and economic productivity in the U.S. and around the world using historical data. My ongoing work examines the economic and environmental effects of renewable energy transitions, the effect of temperature and ambient pollution fluctuations on health, and the costs and benefits of climate change adaptation.
